Since 2012, I've used this space to post creative experiments using the inspiration and insight gained from daily life and, at times, escape from daily life. Enjoy.

Today's collage is a study in reds and pinks that remind me of some of the dramatic sunset colors we get in Texas, as clouds build for evening storms in the summer or burn away once they have come and gone.

Summer Rains Quadrant
7/12/14
24x12 collage on canvas, lower right quadrant of larger piece
The horses charging through water in today's collage remind me of the heavy rains we received this week, where 4-10 inches dropped in one night. Texas in July typically welcomes rain, but this storm ended up being dramatic. My house was not negatively impacted by the deluge, but people at work wanted to know if I'd come in to the office on a boat.
Silver lining on these storm clouds, all week we've enjoyed cooler temperatures that came with the rain.
