Since 2012, I've used this space to post creative experiments using the inspiration and insight gained from daily life and, at times, escape from daily life. Enjoy.

Day 227 Up and at 'em
| Day 227 Up and at 'em |
227:365
05/15/13
Louise Hay affirmation: “Life is an adventure, and the
Universe is always on our side.”
Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:
Transform a room into a new environment.
Media: Magazine and Catalog photos, Mod Podge
Time: 1H:30M
Comments: Today's collage feels like a happy transformation of a normally quiet and sleepy room into a springtime dance celebration.
Cherry blossoms and butterfly bedding speak to the idea of transformation. While the doves and ballerina springing from their sleepytime resting place remind us that life is an adventure.
I'd be lying if I said that every night's sleep has me springing from bed with this much enthusiasm. It's comforting to know, though, that the Universe is always on our side.

Day 146 Joyous leaps in learning
| Day 146 Joyous leaps in learning |
146:365
02/23/13
Louise Hay daily affirmation:
“I reinforce that which I learn in joyous ways.”
Inspiration exercise from Noah Scalin’s 365 Daily Creativity Journal: Create a visual definition for a word chosen
randomly from a dictionary.
JOYOUS
Media: Scrapbook paper, Magazine and brochure photos, Fabric pattern tissue, Matte
medium, Mod Podge
Time: 50M
Comments: Took a beginners ballet class for adults once and felt a little more like a dancing Disney elephant (Fantasia) than the joyous, leaping Chinese ballerinas (Shen Yun Performing Arts) in this collage.
Learned in class that practice and repetition are critical to learning the fundamentals of dance. Today, I'm learning that practice and repetition are critical to learning the fundamentals of Joyous living.
