Day 207 Marathon Monday in Southridge

Louise Hay affirmation:
“I breathe in the fullness and richness of life.”

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Use paper like it was fabric.

Media:  Photos from baa.org and google images, Magazine photos, Mod Podge, Tissue paper, Sharpie

Time:  45M

Comments:  Today's collage is in honor Brown Betty and our caring neighbors/dog lovers, who breathe in the fullness and richness of life.

On Marathon Monday, while we were in Boston, Brown Betty decided to break through the temporary fence in our back yard and run her own marathon in the streets of our Denton neighborhood.

The person dog sitting for us, that happened upon this comical scene as she stopped by for the dog's meal and walk, reported the neighbors had noticed a loose basset and called their daughter to come do something.  Being a lover of bassets, the daughter ran after the dog... and ran, and ran, and ran.  Apparently, she and Brown Betty both had their own race that day.

Eventually Brown Betty decided she was done running and everyone got to catch their breath.   Would have loved to have seen the Southridge marathon.

Media:  Boston map, Tissue, Watercolors, Magazine photos, Mod Podge

Time:  1H:30M

Comments:  Today's collage is a map of the downtown Boston area and the shadow of a single marathon runner... releasing the old.  The pink flower represents a welcoming of the new.

Louise Hay affirmation:
“I assimilate new ideas easily.  Life agrees with me; nothing can irritate me.  I am calm.”

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Build a pair of eyeglasses.

Media:  Scrapbook paper, Magazine  & Eyeglass ad photos, Mod Podge

Time:  1H

Comments:  Made it home from Boston last night and woke to breaking news about bombing suspects being located. I couldn't be more glad to be home and away from the disturbing activities of this week. Looking forward to relaxing like the puppy in today's collage for the first time in a week, now that we're out of harm's way.

Nothing can irritate this calm puppy...
