Counting Sheep

3/23/14
11x14 collage on canvas

Counting Sheep
Had a late night airport run to make, and am lacking sleep for the day after.  Today's collage is a remembrance that counting sheep may help if I have trouble sleeping tonight. Somehow I don't think it will be necessary.

Day 265 Woolen temples

Day 265 Woolen temples
265:365
06/22/13

Louise Hay affirmation:   “My body is a precious temple.”

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Make a unique miniature golf hole in your home or outside and play it.

Media:  Magazine photos, Mod Podge

Time:  1H

Comments:  Today's collage features several woolly sheep roaming around on this golf course.

Designers usually have a special fondness for wool textiles.  Not only are they naturally fire retardant, but they are also rapidly renewable resources, they breathe, accept dyes nicely, and they have a nice 'hand' compared to some of the newer laboratory fibers that are used in interior design and furnishings today.

What a versatile and valuable fur coat these dear creatures are able to share with us!  Precious temples each and every one.

Day 200 Life takes care

Day 200 Life takes care

200:365
04/18/13

Louise Hay affirmation:   “I relax, knowing the wisdom of life takes care of all details.”

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Save the hair from your next haircut or from your pet and work with it.

Media:  Scrapbook paper, Magazine & calendar photos, Mod Podge, Tissue paper, Matte medium

Time:  1H

Comments:   The comically fluffy sheep in this collage relax, knowing that someone will eventually come along and sheer them to lighten their woolen load.  The cat, cozily in wrapped in a fluffy woolen blanket, thanks them for their service.
