Day 313 Trust the hot coals

Day 313 Trust the hot coals
313:365
08/09/13

Louise Hay affirmation:   “I release the past with ease and trust the process of life.”

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Work just with matches, flames, or fire today.

Media:  Scrapbook paper, Magazine photos, Mod Podge, Tissue paper, Journal page

Time:  45M

Comments:  Funny that releasing the past and trusting the process of life are affirmed together on a day when the theme of the day is about fire. Ironically enough, also a day when the air conditioning at home went out and it's 104 degrees outside.
The image of bare feet in hot burning coals signifies a few things for me on both physical and emotional levels.  Thankfully, I'm looking forward to my foot reflexology appointment tomorrow... in a nice, air-conditioned location.

Day 49 The feet know

049:365
11/18/12
Day 49 The feet know

Louise Hay affirmation:   “It is safe to see and experience new ideas and new ways.  I am open and receptive to good.” (callouses)

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:   Quantity over quality. Work with a lot of something.  It could be dried grains from the kitchen, a jar of buttons you have in the closdet, or all of your t-shirts.

Media:  Sharpie, inBloom crystal beads, lettering template

Time:   2H

Comments:  Learned through reflexology that every sore spot and every callous on the feet mean something.  Placement of each callous also has meaning.  For me the spot at the center of the balls of my feet are tied to lung function.  Wonder if it's a holdover from my bout of bronchitis this summer, or was it the cause?  Guess I have not been as open and receptive to new ideas and new ways as I could have been.

Day 11 Moving forward

011:365
10/11/12

Louise Hay affirmation:  “I move forward in life, with joy and with ease.” (affirmation for dealing with foot problems)

Inspiration exercise from 365 Daily Creativity Journal:  Pick a medium you’re comfortable with, then work with your non-dominant hand.

Media:  Photos and words cut out of magazines with my left hand, glue stick, scrapbook, cream chalk

Time:   2H:40M

Comments:   The simplicity of this collage belies the time it took to put it together.  Had a hard time finding the words for the affirmation.  Had a much easier time finding a zebra and elephant moving forward in life.  Cutting simple shapes with my non-dominant hand was interesting.  Think I’ll play around with that some more.   I had time to repeat the affirmation over and over while I worked...Good preparation for my foot reflexology appointment tomorrow morning.
